DSDS, as its name implies, is based out of Dalhousie University. But this does not mean that only students are welcome members of the club! We are constantly looking to grow further into the Halifax community.

Swing-dancing is a joyful activity and one that is open to various ages and anyone who would like to try it. By welcoming non-students to our events--like Swing with the Fishes, our biggest dance of the year--and by employing local talent to play for dancers--from Shirley Jackson and her Good Rockin' Daddies to the high-school based Halifax All City Jazz Band--we are really hoping to get all Haligonians to come out swinging!

Our ambition is to make this city aware of a wonderful opportunity to meet people, be physically active and listen to some fantastic music. Join us!
